Blasphemy in Religion and fabrication in Science may be utterly different, yet can antagonize the banal crowd to become savages from civilians. The minds and soul of the people are always scrupulous to the faith they follow, the belief they instigate within themselves, the intimidation imbibed by them and any kind of fantasy does not seem to beguile the humdrums. This fast paced thriller by Dan Brown cynosures the revulsion of Christianity towards Science and vice-versa. This very affray between the two supreme entities of the universe dreadfully embittered two parts of the globe simultaneously , namely the CERN institute of Switzerland and the sacred Vatican of Rome to tussle each other ,which may not be physical ,yet can be nicked as subliminal.

The story begins with the barbarous murder of one of the most renowned scientist of CERN with a mysterious symbol cauterized onto his chest. A scientist, yet a catholic: This impels irony. The brutal death of the scientist along with the sudden disappearance of the anti-matter canister with the beat triggers both Vittoria Vetra – the daughter of the dead scientist and Maximilian Kohler to have a lump in the throat. Both appraise to deter the demolition , rather the apocalypse to be caused by the precarious anti-matter whose whereabouts are quite incognito and at the same time they must accomplish the colossal task of tracking down the killer. So the spine – tingling race against time begins, oblivious to the logjams it would lead to.

Vittoria teamed up with Harvard Professor Robert Langdon is compelled to find a way to achieve this immense, rather morbid task. Langdon is prodded upon to decipher a labyrinthine trail of ancient symbols , if he is to defeat those responsible – the Illuminati – a secret brotherhood banked on to be dematerialized for nearly four hundreds , resurfaced to carry on their deadly vendetta against their prime anathema – the Catholic church. It is now or never for both of them.

So this heart stirring thriller by Dan Brown will make you feel the goose bumps, enthralling your mind to race through the Vatican as if you are the very moiety of the mysterious, yet sacred place. This book is an absolute page turner which is competent enough to agog you to finish the book in one breathe. This is a no-holds-barred, pull-out-all-the-stops, breathless tangle of a thriller; a heck of a good read.
