Are you a 'Janeite'? The British Council’s mylibrary in association with the Jane Austen Book Club, Mumbai will conduct an event, 'Austen: At Home and Overseas' to celebrate all things Austen.
The session will cover:
- Introduction
- A Step Back – A peek into Jane Austen’s life and her works.
- Pride & Prejudice-Introduction to the book, Discussion of key characters, introduction to the movie, screening a selected scene from Pride & Prejudice as well as from its Hindi adaption- Bride & Prejudice.
- Discussion/ Interactive Session
Whether you think Mr.Knightley is better than Mr.Darcy, whether you find Mrs.Jennings more ridiculous than Catherine Morland, make sure you don’t miss the chance to meet others who love and venerate this most-loved author of social satires disguised as romances.
